August 30, 2016 –Silver Key has expanded transportation services beyond the traditional city limits to include the Black Forest and Banning Lewis Ranch areas. Silver Key was recently awarded a grant from the Colorado Springs Health Foundation to provide better access to healthcare to rural area residents. Silver Key has been providing twice-weekly rides in the Black Forest area since 2014. The funds received through the grant will increase those trips to five days a week and add service to the Banning Lewis Ranch area. The added transportation delivery routes are designed to increase accessibility for seniors living in more rural areas of the county to medical appointments, physical therapy, and the pharmacy.
