A Message from our President

Dear Friend,

This time of year, we often find ourselves sharing best wishes for happiness and good health. Imagine how much these simple sentiments really mean to older adults in our community! For many seniors, declining health and mobility has a significant impact on their ability to remain independent in their homes. And their happiness is dependent on being able to stay connected with family, friends, activities, and having the opportunity to interact with others on a regular basis.

Your donation to Silver Key services will truly make a difference in the life of a person who is adapting to the challenges of living longer, as you can tell from these recent comments from our clients.

“A most pleasant meal served by a happy, gregarious group of volunteers. Thank you for this service. The laughter of my fellow diners brightens my day and lifts my spirits.”…Your $100 donation will provide a hot, nutritious meal along with friendship and fun for 15 older adults at Silver Key Connections Café.

“I enjoy all the meals that I eat. I would be lost without Meals on Wheels. It is very hard for me to stand and cook.”…Your $200 donation will deliver one month of Silver Key Meals on Wheels along with a daily safety check to a senior coping with isolation and hunger.

“I am so grateful for the transportation that allowed me to achieve some measure of independence in my life. What an extraordinary service that is.”…Your $350 donation means 17 older adults will have transportation to a medical appointment or activity with Silver Key Reserve & Ride.

“The food pantry helps us by reducing the amount of resources we have to spend, thus making funds go further. Our thanks to all who donate food and especially those that volunteer their time.”…Your $500 donation will make sure 10 low-income seniors receive the help and food they need through Silver Key Senior Assistance.

Thank you so much for your ongoing support of Silver Key. We hope we can count on you to give generously to help us deliver happiness and good health to seniors. We wish the same for you and yours this holiday season.

With sincere gratitude,

Patricia Ellis
