Update to Silver Key’s Coronavirus (COVID-19) Response Plan and Safety Strategy (4/1/20)

Meals at this time must be requested in advance for the following week. Please call the Silver Line to submit your requests: (719) 884-2300.

PLEASE BE ADVISED – IN EFFORTS TO ENSURE OUR SENIORS REMAIN SAFE AND HEALTHY:
ALL SK VOLUNTEERS are required to wear a face mask at all times while volunteering; SK FRIENDS THRIFT STORE is temporarily closed; THE FOOD PANTRY is implementing a “pick up only” model; CONNECTIONS CAFE is implementing a “grab and go” model; MEALS ON WHEELS & HOME DELIVERED MEALS service is enforcing a 100% no physical contact compliance (6 ft.) rule; RESERVE & RIDE is temporarily limited to essential transportation needs only: strictly medical and food-related trips. All RESERVE & RIDE clients are required to wear either their own face mask or a face mask provided to them by the driver (no exceptions).

  1. Changes have been made regarding Connection Cafe “Grab and Go” meals. Starting Monday March 23rd, clients will receive 5 frozen meals for the week; this new procedure will reduce exposure and keep our seniors safe and healthy! No substitutions available.
  2. Donations are essential to our mission to keep seniors healthy and safe in their homes during this time. We know how hard our community is being hit financially by this temporary setback, however seniors are our community’s most at-risk group for contracting COVID-19. Please donate today!
  3. If you are unable to contribute financially, please volunteer with us! We need volunteers now more then ever; your time will make a life-changing impact on our senior community. If you are interested in volunteering, please call us on our Silver Line (719) 884-2300. If you prefer to sign up in person, please visit us at our Admin office: 1625 S. Murray Blvd, 80916 and speak with a staff member to get signed up.
