Become a Silver Key member

Call 719-884-2300 to become a Silver Key member. We’ll ask you a few questions to get you set up in our system.

Visit the Food Pantry

Pull a number when you arrive, and a friendly team member will help determine which programs you’re eligible for. Bring income information for all household members.

Common questions

What does household income mean?

Household income is a group of people who live together and share food and expenses. 

A household can include:

  • A single person living alone
  • A family (parents, children, relatives) living together
    Unrelated individuals who share meals and expenses
  • To qualify, the household’s total gross income (before taxes).

Can I pick up food for a friend or family member?

Yes! The Silver Key member can appoint you as a “proxy” to pick-up their food pantry items.

While Silver Key doesn’t provide turkeys during the holidays, our food pantry offers a variety of nutritious options to help make your holiday meals special. Other Care & Share locations may provide this service. 

Plan for a 40-minute shopping visit to keep your food fresh until it reaches your fridge. 

Yes, schedule other services prior to the pantry visit to maintain safe food temperatures.
