Silver Key Needs Volunteer Drivers

Silver Key is in need of volunteer drivers for our Transportation Department.  A shortage of volunteer drivers means fewer rides are available to be scheduled resulting in seniors not being able to get to medical appointments or the grocery store when needed.

If you like to drive, want to meet new people, and have a few free hours each week, Silver Key has a volunteer job for you.  Transportation drivers use our vans and small buses to take our clients to medical appointments, the grocery store, and recreational outings.  Drivers typically work one four-hour shift a week and may choose the days that work best for them.  Silver Key is a door-through-door service and for the majority of our clients, we are their only mode of transportation.    Seniors all over the greater Colorado Springs area are waiting for your call.

For more information about volunteering as a Driver, please contact Linda Arguello at 719 884-2319 or email her at larguello@silverkey.org.

    Dear Linda,

I had originally contacted you (re. volunteering with your org.) about 6 months ago but have been busy with my commitment to driving my grandchildren back and forth to school, etc.

Things have change, I now have time to pursue my desire to do some volunteer work. If you are still in need of drivers please let me know.
