A simple gesture can go a long way in making someone’s day!

A freshman class at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) pieced together dozens of gift bags for seniors in the community. The freshman seminar course titled “Finding Your Way: Healthcare” was on the discussion topic of community outreach support and community health when they tackled the thoughtful project.

11 News learned of this story after a senior in the community reached out to us soon after receiving one of the gift bags. She was so thankful she wanted to make certain the students got a shout out in our newscast!
