Laurie Z. Wood

Title: Chief Operations Officer

Laurie serves as Process Improvement Leader for Silver Key. At this time, she is responsible for overseeing the Behavioral Health, Case Management, Navigators, Silver Line and Client Relations Specialist teams. Specifically, she is implementing a wraparound approach so that our clients receive the highest degree of service from this area. Laurie works with leadership to ensure that our clients receive a seamless service experience throughout the organization.

Laurie has over 35 years of experience in the human services and non-profit fields. An educator by training, she has taught preschool through college level courses.  As an administrator, she has been the head of a middle school, and assistant superintendent here in El Paso County.  Prior to coming to Silver Key, Laurie served for ten years as founder and director of Partners for Healthy Choices, the social service arm of Manitou Springs School District 14.

Laurie holds a Bachelors of Science in Human Development and Family Studies with a minor in Dance from Cornell University. She also holds a Masters of Arts for Experienced Elementary School Teachers and Administrators from Colorado College.  Laurie has served on many boards in her 32 years living in Manitou Springs, currently serving on the Manitou Springs Creative District Board.  She is happily married to artist, Steve J. Wood, Executive Director of Concrete Couch, a local non-profit.
