Silver Key Presents 2019 Award Winners at Annual Fundraising Event
On May 8, Silver Key hosted Engaged at Every Age, our annual fundraising event. The 2019 Silver Key Champion Award was presented to Barbara Winter. This award honors an individual who has demonstrated an ongoing personal commitment to helping Silver Key deliver on our vision and mission. The award winner is a true community champion of Silver Key, partnering to support the vital services we offer to anyone age 60+.
The 2019 Silver Key Volunteer Award was presented to Pam and Frank Hammitt. This award was created to honor volunteers who have demonstrated an ongoing personal commitment of time to help Silver Key deliver services. The award winners make a significant difference in our ability to provide quality services for our clients in a caring and respectful manner.
More than 400 attendees learned about the Silver Key mission and how our services help area seniors safely age in place with dignity and independence. Donations from the event support Silver Key Reserve & Ride, Home Delivered Meals including Meals on Wheels, Connections Café meal sites, Active Living, and vital Senior Assistance services.
They also learned how important volunteers are in delivering our services. Volunteers are needed to assist with meals, rides, client support, office support, pantry and thrift store materials support, and veterans support.
