Connections Café Reopening Information

As we begin to turn the corner from this terrible pandemic, our seniors are ready to venture out and begin again to reconnect with one another in person.  For more than a year, older adults have been particularly at risk and disproportionately impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak.  Now, thanks to months of vigilance and the advent of effective safe vaccines, Silver Key Connections Cafes are preparing to reopen to in-person congregate dining.

Since the beginning of the public health crisis, our decisions have been made in guidance with those at the CDC, and with State and local public health officials.  Now with more than 80% of older adults having at least 1 dose of the vaccine, and 70% fully vaccinated we are making preparations to bring folks together in our dining rooms.  Details of the opening can be found below:

Who:  Area Seniors

What:  Re-opening of Silver Key Connections Café Dining Rooms

Why now:  Due to the positive impact of vaccines, and other efforts to combat the virus guidance has been given that it is now safe and prudent to proceed with re-opening to bring folks together to socialize in person over a delicious hot meal.

When/Where:  Due to a variety of factors, Café’s will open in a phased approach.  See location reopening dates below.  Please note that reopening dates are tentative, please visit our website at www.silverkey.org regularly for updates.
