Silver Key Pantry Needs Help to “Fill the Shelves”!

The new Silver Key Pantry has space for seniors to not only receive their Federal food program box each month, but also choose items they might not be able to receive any place else. We are asking for your help to fill the shelves with those items that are always in need but not often found in the monthly food allotment, including personal hygiene products. While Silver Key works hard to meet the growing demand, we are limited without the support of our community. Please help us “Fill the Shelves”!

Pantry Items Needed:
Canned Items: Chicken, Fruit, Vegetables, Soups, Beans, Chili, Pasta
Peanut Butter, Jelly, Cereal,

Hygiene Items Needed: Toilet Paper, Paper Towels, Shampoo/Conditioner (small bottles), Deodorant, Toothpaste/Toothbrushes, Lotion, Baby Powder, Tissues

Donations of non-perishable food items and hygiene products may be dropped off at the Silver Key office at 1605 S. Murray Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO 80916, Monday through Friday from 8:00 am — 4:00 pm.

Each month, Silver Key provides nutrition assistance to nearly 1200 seniors enrolled in our Pantry. Our four Nutrition Programs consist of two federal food programs; Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) and The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP), the Pantry program for clients meeting financial requirements but also having dietary restrictions, and the Emergency Pantry, a one-time assistance for seniors not currently enrolled in a program and having a dire need.
