SILVER KEY’S ANNUAL HOLIDAY TRADITION CONTINUES

For nearly 30 years, Silver Key Senior Services has worked with the Colorado Springs community to brighten the holidays for seniors in need. This year’s Giving Tree organizations have been so generous; donating gifts, volunteering staff time, and supporting our efforts financially. Our 9th annual holiday party for clients takes place on Thursday, December 12, at the Silver Key Community Rooms, 1655 S. Murray Blvd. We anticipate more than 300 people will attend the event.”Our clients look forward to this annual tradition for months as the holidays can be a particularly lonely time for them” said Jason DeaBueno, President and CEO of Silver Key.Committed community businesses and volunteers allow Silver Key to provide food and gifts to the seniors who attend the party. T. Rowe Price’s employees and French students at Cheyenne Mountain Junior High have again played a key role in the celebration by providing homemade gingerbread houses which will be used as centerpieces and become prizes for our guests to take home. There will also be Holiday Activity Stations including photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus and entertainment from John Long, The Bluesman.
